Q&A — HerbaPaw Herbal Bath Pack

Is this medicine?

No. This is a natural herbal bath product designed to support skin comfort and hygiene. It is not a veterinary medicine and does not replace veterinary diagnosis or treatment. For persistent or severe skin conditions please consult your veterinarian.

Is it safe forpuppies?

Yes — when used as directed. Safe for puppies over 8 weeks old. For very young puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs, or animals with chronic illnesses, please check with your veterinarian before use.

How often can I usethis product?

Typically 1–2 baths per week for maintenance. For acute itching or flare-ups you may use 2–3 times in the first week, then reduce frequency. Always monitor the skin’s response and stop if irritation appears.

My dog licks the bathwater — is that okay?

Small incidental licking is generally safe because the formula is made for external use and uses pet-safe herbs. However, you should avoid allowing the dog to ingest large amounts of the bath water. Rinse the mouth with clean water if heavy licking occurs. If your dog has a history of gastrointestinal sensitivity, consult your vet.

Can I use thisproduct together with medicated shampoo or topical medications?

If your dog is on topical or oral veterinary medications (for example for mange, bacterial infection, or ringworm), please consult your vet first. In many cases using the herbal bath as a complementary, non-medicated soothing soak after discussing with a vet is acceptable — but do not replace prescribed treatments.

Are the herbs safefor dogs if they accidentally ingest small amounts?

The herbs selected for HerbaPaw are chosen for external use and are pet-safe in small accidental ingestion amounts. They are NOT formulated as oral supplements. If your dog ingests a large amount of dry herbs or large volumes of bath water, contact your veterinarian or animal poison control.

Is this productscent-free?

Our blends use the natural aroma of herbs. We do not add artificial fragrances or essential oils unless clearly stated on the label. If your dog is sensitive to strong scents, choose the “Sensitive” variant and perform a patch test.

My dog has allergies— is this safe?

Many dogs with allergic skin can benefit from gentle herbal soaks, but allergies vary. Please:

  • Check the ingredient list for known allergens.
  • Do a small patch test (apply diluted infusion to a small skin area and wait 24 hours).
  • If your dog has known severe environmental or food allergies, consult your veterinarian before use.
Can I use this oncats or other pets?

HerbaPaw is specifically formulated for dogs. Cats have different sensitivities (and metabolize some compounds differently). We do not recommend using dog formulas on cats unless the product is explicitly labeled safe for cats.

What temperatureshould the bath water be?

Warm, comfortable to the touch — about 38–40°C (100–104°F). Not hot. Always check the water with your wrist before placing your dog in the tub.

How long should mydog soak?

10–15 minutes is recommended for most dogs. For anxious dogs, start with shorter periods (3–5 minutes) and gradually increase. Always supervise your dog during the soak.

How much product do Iuse per bath?

Use one herbal pack per standard bathtub or large basin. For very large breeds or multiple-dog baths, use two packs or scale up water/pack ratio.

Do I need to rinse mydog after the soak?

Light rinsing with warm water is recommended for dogs with very sensitive skin or if you notice residue. For many dogs, a light towel-dry without heavy rinsing is fine — follow the usage instructions on your specific product variant.
